It is dark, scary, horrifying,
Painful and depressing.
The endless hours to keep the body strong.
The endless prayers,
Praying,
Praying for a miracle.
Frustration and all hope is lost,
But then the light flickers in the distance.
The tunnel might have an end,
Pushing forward he tries to stay strong.
Then one night tension is in the air,
Heavy breathing and exasperation,
But a peace felt never before,
Overcomes the room.
Then suddenly,
He’s gone,
Like angel wings,
That picked him off to his destination.
And the tears flood,
Like never before,
But God comforts their hearts,
For he is
Now
Cancer
Free.
